From venture capital to acting, Omar AlMaeena is reimagining camel racing through the lens of modern storytelling and Gulf identity.

Omar Almaeena, known as Omzz, is an entrepreneur, actor, and co-founder of Al Haboob, the world’s first licensed camel racing team. With a double major in Finance and Marketing from Syracuse University and an MBA from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, he built a strong academic foundation in business and entrepreneurship. His professional career began at Citigroup and HSBC affiliates before moving into venture capital, where he established and managed a family fund with exposure to Silicon Valley.

Omar later transitioned into creative industries, producing original content through Sahara Productions and partnering with Safwan Modir to establish SAFFwOMZZ and Fatha Productions. In 2021, he took up acting seriously, co-starring in and co-producing the Netflix series Camel Quest, a docuseries that introduced Saudi heritage and camel racing to international audiences.

At Al Haboob, Omar combines his business acumen and creative vision to lead storytelling, brand development, and cultural positioning. His work bridges tradition and modern entertainment, turning camel racing into a global movement that inspires new audiences and redefines Gulf identity on the world stage.
