From luxury hospitality to acting, Safwan Modir is leading a new era of camel racing built on structure, story, and Saudi identity.

Safwan Modir, known as Saff, is a Saudi entrepreneur, producer, and CEO of Al Haboob, the world’s first licensed camel racing team. He was the youngest Saudi to manage a five-star luxury hotel, bringing deep operational discipline to every layer of the Al Haboob system.

In 2021, he co-founded RedSea Camel Co., one of the region’s most modern camel breeding ventures, before launching Al Haboob with longtime friend Omar Almaeena. Together, the duo known as SAFFwOMZZ are building more than a racing team. They are shaping a movement where heritage meets innovation.

Safwan leads camel acquisition, racing operations, and performance strategy. As an actor and on-screen personality, he also co-created and co-starred in the hit Netflix docuseries Camel Quest, introducing the world to the depth and drama of Gulf camel culture.
With a presence both on screen and in the field, Safwan bridges operational excellence with cultural storytelling. His leadership is helping transform camel racing into a competitive, cinematic, and globally relevant sport.
